This “city-of-the-dead” is visually and historically alluring. Established in what was known as the City of Lafayette, now the heart of the Garden District, it remains non-segregated and non-denominational. The city manages this cemetery along with others throughout the parish, which is a completely different entity than that of St. Louis #1. Movie buffs familiar with Double Jeopardy will recognize the architecture. This hour long tour discusses the burial traditions while showcasing wall vaults, family tombs, and society tombs.
Please provide your cell phone number so we can contact you in the event there is a change to tour information. Please provide your home or work phone if you do not have a cell. A valid email address that is retrievable while in New Orleans is also helpful.
Please inform us if you or anyone in your party has special needs. We’ll communicate further on details needed to accommodate.
While the streetcar line is a moving historic landmark and incredibly charming, it is the least dependable form of transportation when considering your method of getting to a tour meeting location. Our team regularly uses United Cabs, Lyft and Uber.
